If I understand arping correct (it&#039;s basically the same as ping except you can ping a MAC address?), I don&#039;t think it&#039;s possible with the current socket extension. But I haven&#039;t worked with PHP sockets since I wrote this article (6 years ago), so I would have to look into it again. Unfortunately I don&#039;t have the time right now or in the near future to take on such a quest.</description>
